AHA Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED Skills Session Only The Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED – Skills Session Only is an in-person, hands-on session for individuals who have already completed the required online Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course through the American Heart Association (AHA). This session allows participants to demonstrate their practical skills under the guidance of a certified AHA Instructor. Successful completion of this skills session, combined with the online portion, fulfills all requirements for AHA Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED certification, valid for two (2) years. This option is ideal for participants who prefer flexible learning by completing coursework online and attending a short, focused in-person skills evaluation. What This Skills Session Covers During the in-person session, participants will demonstrate: Adult, child, and infant CPR techniques Proper use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Choking relief for adults and children First Aid skills including bleeding control and injury response Scene safety and emergency response readiness Who Should Take This Skills Session Individuals who already completed the AHA Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED online course Employees meeting workplace or OSHA training requirements Teachers, childcare providers, and school staff Coaches, fitness professionals, and personal trainers Security personnel and community members Anyone seeking AHA certification through a blended learning format Important: Proof of completion of the AHA online course is required before attending the skills session.
