Apostille & authentication assistance

For documents going to another country — DMW reviews the document and destination, then prepares and coordinates the submission to the appropriate government authority.

  • Reviews your document and destination country

  • Identifies whether notarization, apostille or authentication appears to be needed

  • Prepares, submits and follows up, then coordinates the return

DMW Apostille & Document Authentication Assistance — $125. This is DMW’s service and processing fee. Government, courier, shipping and other third-party fees may apply in addition to DMW’s service fee.

Dyvine Medical & Wellness is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Notarial services are limited to acts permitted under Georgia law. Apostille and authentication services are administrative assistance; final issuance and acceptance are determined by the appropriate government or receiving authority.

What DMW does.

DMW provides notarial services and administrative assistance. The apostille or authentication itself is issued by the appropriate government authority, not by DMW.

DMW can

  • Identify whether the document appears to require notarization, apostille or authentication

  • Prepare and coordinate the submission

  • Submit, deliver or mail documents to the appropriate authority where applicable

  • Monitor the administrative process

DMW does not

  • Issue apostilles

  • Act as the Georgia government, the U.S. Department of State or a foreign government

  • Guarantee government acceptance

  • Guarantee processing time

  • Provide legal advice

Apostille and authentication routes.

The right route depends on where the document was issued and where it is going.

Routes may include

  • Georgia-origin documents for Hague Convention countries

  • Georgia documents requiring authentication for non-Hague countries

  • Federal documents that require federal authentication

  • Out-of-state documents that must be handled through the appropriate issuing state

Confirmed after review

Eligibility and the correct processing route are confirmed after DMW reviews the document type and destination country. Not every document can be processed through every route, and some documents may need another step first.

NOTARY & APOSTILLE FAQ

What is the difference between notarization and an apostille?

Common questions

Notarization is performed by a notary, who verifies identity and witnesses signatures or administers oaths. An apostille is a government certificate that allows a public document to be recognized in countries that accept apostilles. DMW performs notarizations and assists with apostille requests.

Does DMW issue the apostille?

No. The apostille or authentication itself is issued by the appropriate government authority, not by DMW. DMW prepares and coordinates the submission and the return of your document.

What documents should I bring?

For notary, bring the document, valid government-issued photo ID for each signer and all required signers. For apostille assistance, provide the document, destination country, issuing state or agency, any deadline and any instructions from the receiving organization.

Are government or shipping fees included in the $125?

No. The $125 is DMW’s service and processing fee. Government, courier, shipping and other third-party fees may apply in addition to DMW’s service fee.

How long does apostille processing take?

Processing time varies based on the document, destination and issuing authority. DMW will review the expected process with you before submission.
